when you first started, did you start with all of that protein before and after your workout..is it good to start out with a lot of protein. Also if I wanted to lose weight before I gained muscle, should I indulge in the proteins?

@SteezyKids i didnt take supplements during my first 30 days. I needed to slim down because i had some pudge and taking protein supplements added too many calories. after that i took plenty of supplements though and got great results. try going to an online nutrition calculator, you can calculate exactly how many calories you are taking in.

lol, its scary how closely these choices resemble my diet for the program and for life in general now.. I stay with the dymatize products- protein and their recoup (orange) for a combo of protein and BCAA’s.. tuna, salmon, whole grain pasta, turkey, chicken carbmaster yogurt (best on the market imo), clif bars, kashi cereal, skim milk, etc.

Watch your fish oils. High levels of omega-3 fatty acids in men has been proven to aid in the development of aggressive prostate cancer. Also, the almonds are fantastic, but trail mixes are notorious for having loads of saturated fats. So i’d try to cut out the trail mix.

@xavier415 Most supplements are around a thirty day supply. The protein powders that he’s using will run about $50 or so a tub, give or take a little bit. As for the other supps, it depends on the brand and the quality that you buy as to how much it will cost. I would say, look to spend about $50-$75 a month on average for good quality supps.

I recently bought a muscle milk drink, but I found out after drinking it and working out, it didn’t workout very well. So, I don’t think muscle milk works at all. Also, does the P90x shake work well? Or shakeology?
